Credit Unions Just Might Save Your Future

It is my position that Credit Unions are much better at providing the best value for the fees they charged and the services their members receive. I think it is time for the government to cut the cord of taxpayers supporting the for-profit banking sector. I would like to hear feedback from the nonprofit community about reasons the organization does not utilize Credit Unions for their banking needs.
So far “I just never thought about them as an option” has been the strongest response.

We use one because the bank we were using for the previous 10 years denied our loan application and the credit union did not. They have been great to deal with for the last couple years.

I am hearing a lot of stories of banks suddenly cutting relationships. I can see the main reason by banks is to conserve cash and lower cash commitments. Courts have been ruling that a bank has to honor agreements even if their finances to honor the obligation has changed.
